Microneedling VS BB Glow for Skin Care

MICRONEEDLING

Microneedling (CIT) is a procedure that treats specific skin damage that reaches into the dermis (the next layer of skin that is below the epidermis) such as: fine lines and wrinkles, hypertrophic scars (caused by acne, burns and surgery), stretch marks, loose and crepey skin and pigmentation issues. Microneedling is more specifically used to treat deeper skin damage.
Microneedling treatments are spaced 4-6 weeks apart to allow for skin cell rejuvenation. Approximately 4 treatments are needed to treat fine lines, wrinkles, newer scars, fine, threadlike stretch marks, loose skin, mild/newer hyperpigmentation. Approximately 6 treatments are needed for older/deeper scars, deep stretch marks and sever/older hyperpigmentation.

BB GLOW TREATMENT

BB Glow is a semi-permanent cosmetic skin treatment that balances and brightens the skin tone resulting in a dewy, glowy radiant complexion. Each treatment increases the density of the pigment, creating more coverage and less need for makeup. Added benefits are that it diminishes very superficial fine lines, scars and hyperpigmentation. It only has effects on damage that is within the epidermis (upper most layer of the skin) as the needles do not penetrate deep.

BB Glow treatments are spaced 2-4 weeks apart to obtain desired effects and to allow for skin cell rejuvenation.  There is less healing time between applications as BB Glow is superficial and does NOT penetrate deep into the skin. 1-2 applications provides a dewy, glowy and brightening effect, lasting approximately 3 months. 3-5 applications intensifies the pigment giving our clients that BB cream type coverage and bluring affect on imperfections which decreases the need/amount of foundation required, lasting up to 6 months.
What is the difference and which treatment is right for you?

As you can see, although Microneedling and BB Glow use the microneedling method, they are very different treatments used to achieve different outcomes. The treatment that is right for you depends on your skin care goals, feel free to contact us at anytime to book a complimentary consultation.
