Microbladed (Hairstroke) VS Combo Brows

BB Glow Skin Care Regina

We have all spent most of our lives tweezing, waxing, threading, filling in and drawing on our brows in hopes to achieve the “perfect” brow.

There are many factors that can affect our eyebrow hair growth including age, over tweezing, scars, chemotherapy, alopecia, etc.

If you haven’t done much research (and even if you have) the process of choosing a brow style can be very overwhelming! This blog will help you to choose whether to do Microblading alone or a Combo Brow to achieve your desired look.

MICROBLADED EYEBROWS

Microbladed Eyebrows (Hairstroke) are a form of permanent makeup that creates the appearance of natural eyebrow hair. Pigment is implanted under the skin with a manual hand tool that creates hyper realistic hair-like strokes for the illusion of natural, fuller brows.
The size and thickness of the Microblading tool will determine the size and thickness of the hairstroke.
The Microbladed eyebrow technique is ideal for clients with normal to dry skin. For those with oily skin, Microblading will have a powder look and those with dry skin will have more of a defined look.
Microbladed brows are perfect if you don’t normally fill in your brows but you are looking for a fuller, natural look. If you typically fill in your brows, have little to no natural brow hair, have oily skin or like more of a makeup look, we would recommend going with a Combo Brow.

COMBO EYEBROWS

Combo Eyebrows are Hairstroke or Microbladed brows with machine shading for a natural makeup look. This technique is great for those with oily skin, little to no brow hair or those who simply want to add definition to their eyebrows.

Combo Brows are perfect for all skin types for a multidimensional look – where we can create super natural looking brows or more of a dramatic, powdery look so you can say goodbye to the eyebrow pencil.

The Combo brow style typically lasts longer than Microblading alone as it uses more pigment throughout the eyebrow. We understand come people can be fearful of this method looking so upgrading to a combo brow can be done at anytime.
We want to achieve the most natural possible look for you!

If you are still unsure which brow style is best for you, consultations with our
knowledgeable technicians are always complementary!
